Game Features
Paint is a 5-reel, 20 fixed pay line slot that offers a low RTP of 95.08% for players, but it does have two very interesting features to make up for it. Your reels are set against a very messy painted wall and the symbols are all paint related, such as Spray paints, a paint palette, brush cleaners and card values all in painted designs. The reels don’t spin as such, they rather pop and disappear as the symbols are held within bubbles. As they disappear new one’s pop into their place, which is an interesting take on the spinning reels of most online slot games.
Bet Amounts – Betting begins at 20p per spin and can be increased to the maximum of £20 per spin. To adjust your bet, click on the coin icon to the left hand side of the screen and use the arrows to the side of the bet value to amend.
Wild Symbol – Your wild symbol is a circle filled with bright colours and the word wild across the middle. It will substitute for all other symbols except the bonus or the pink paint splash.
Bonus Symbol – The word bonus inside a picture frame with three balloons is your bonus symbol. You need three of these in adjacent rows to trigger the bonus feature.
Scatter Symbol – This is the gold paint splash symbol and it will only appear on reel 3. When it lands it will award you one bonus spin of the reels. You will see the paint splash meter fill up at the side of the screen. Once all five slots have been filled the bonus spins will begin. Watch out for this landing in both the main game and the bonus spins too.
Balloon Bonus Feature – Having landed 3 or more of the bonus symbol, you will be taken to a new screen to play the feature. Depending upon how many bonus symbols you landed, you will be awarded a certain multiplier for any wins made during the game.
- 3 bonus symbols triggers the game but awards no extra multiplier,
- 4 bonus symbols triggers the game with a x2 multiplier on wins,
- 5 bonus symbols triggers the game with a x3 multiplier on wins.
You will now be allowed to start popping balloons, each one releasing a win amount. The feature ends when you pop a balloon that holds the word ‘end’ inside; simple as that really.
Bonus Spins Feature – Having filled all five splash places with gold paint splashes, your bonus spins will begin of which you will have 5 to begin with. During the spins there are four other coloured splash symbols that will offer extra rewards when they land:
- Yellow splash will only land on reel 1 and will award a x10 coin win and increase the multiplier by x1,
- Red splash will land on reel 2 and will award a x10 coin win and increase the multiplier by x2,
- Gold splash will land on reel 3 and awards one extra bonus spin to your total,
- Blue splash will land on reel 4 and will award a x15 coin win and increase the multiplier by x3,
- Green splash will land on reel 5 and will award a x25 coin win and increase the multiplier by x4.
Overview
Paint is a bit on the unconventional side when you compare it to other slot games. It can take a long time for that paint splash scatter to fill the meter at the side of the reels. Luckily the balloon bonus lands a bit more often and the wins within the base game are frequent enough to keep you going. If you are wanting a quick game to pass the time, then Paint is not for you. But if you have a healthy balance and are ready to play for a while then definitely give Paint a go. Mainly because the returns will be worth the wait as the wins are pretty decent in the bonus spins round.
