We at Boku Slots have a special place in our hearts, for games that err on the side of fantasy and gothic horror. So, when we came across the interestingly named Blood Suckers from NetEnt, obviously we had to give it a closer look. What we found wasn’t as scary as the name suggests, however we took a bite out of the game and savoured every taste. Just as the vampire can fall foul to bloodlust, we fell foul to the joys that the game delivered. Read on for more information, if you dare.

Game Features
Blood Suckers isn’t about draining you of your life force (aka your bank balance), as this is one of the very few games that has an unbelievable 98% RTP. The game itself is a 5-reel, 25 pay line slot and it has some interesting features to keep you entertained.
Bet Amounts – Betting begins at 1p per pay line or 25p per spin and can be increased incrementally to 50p per pay line and £12.50 per spin. However, if you want to add an extra twist to your betting you can increase the coin levels from 1 to 4, meaning your maximum bet amount can increase as high as £50. Make sure you check your coin amount and bet level before hitting spin.
Wild Symbol – Your wild is a vampire biting the damsels neck and it substitutes for all symbols except the scatter and the bonus. It is also the highest paying symbol in the game, so land 5 of these across an active pay line and you are looking at a jackpot win of 7,500 coins. Depending upon your stake amount at the time of the spin, this could be quite a lucrative win for you.
Scatter Symbol – The scatter symbol is a vampire bride and it will trigger the bonus spins feature, if you land 3 or more on an active pay line.
Bonus Symbol – Your bonus symbol is a bloody hammer and bat, so land 3 or more of these on an active pay line and you will trigger the bonus feature. This is a mini game that will load on a new screen and you can read about below.
Bonus Spin Feature – Land 3 or more vampire bride scatters on the reels and you will trigger the bonus spins feature. The spins received amount to 10 whether you land 3 scatters or 5, but during the bonus spins all wins are tripled. It is possible to add more spins, if the scatter symbols land whilst the feature is in play.
Bonus Mini Game Feature – Land 3 or more bonus symbols and you will trigger your bonus game. The symbols have to be in succession from left to right, beginning on reel one and on an active pay line to trigger this game. Once you are in the mini game you have to pick from the choice of coffins on screen. After you make your choice, the coffin will open to revel either a vampire or an empty space. If there is a vampire it will be staked to reveal your prize, but if it is empty then game over. You will keep staking vampires until you open an empty coffin, then your prize fund is accumulated and added to your balance.
Overview
Although the graphics may not be up to the usual standard of NetEnt, we have let that slide because this has fast become one of our favourite games. The fact that it has a mighty 98% RTP is big enough reason to let it slide, but then add in the awesome bonus game and spins feature, and we are sold. The soundtrack leaves a little to be desired but can be switched off easily enough, unless you like that kind of thing. Overall this game is going to appeal to lovers of the horror genre and to those that just enjoying high paying slot games. So it’s a win all round for Blood Suckers and we can’t wait to see what its sequel game Blood Suckers 2 has to offer.
