Game Features
Vikings of Fortune is a 5-reel, 20 fixed pay line slot that offers an RTP of 94.81%. The game itself is set against a mountain scene with dragon boat heads guarding either side of the reels. Symbols include Viking characters, a helmet, long ship, shield, axe, crossed swords and a horn; basically, all typical Viking symbols.
Bet Amounts – Betting on Vikings of Fortune begins at 25p per spin and can be increased up to £125 per spin. You can see the bet adjuster to the left-hand side of the screen, click the arrows above or below it to adjust the bet until you are happy then hit spin.
Wild Symbol – A Viking sword is your wild symbol and it will substitute for all others except the two bonus symbols. It is also your highest paying symbol within the game and offers a x10,000 coin win, if you land 5 in a winning combination.
Bonus Symbol – The bonus symbol in Vikings of Fortune is depicted with the word Bonus in gold and embellished in Viking designs. Land three or more of these to trigger the bonus spins feature, which will allocate between 10 and 20 bonus spins.
Thunder Streak Feature – Vikings of Fortune has a second bonus symbol too, the Thunder Streak Wild. Land this symbol alone on reel 3 to trigger the thunder streak feature. If you land it anywhere on reel 3, it will expand to cover the whole reel. The rest of the reels will then respin, but not before holding any winning combinations in place whilst the reels spin. At the end of the spin if symbols have added to the existing combination the reels will respin again, with the new combination held in place. The respins will continue until no new symbols are added to that winning combination that has been held on the reels.
Bonus Thunder Spins Feature – Having landed yourself three or four of the gold bonus symbols anywhere on the reels, you will trigger the bonus spins. Now it works a little differently here than you will be used to. The reels will now spin, and the gold bonus symbols will be held in place on the reels. If more gold bonus symbols land they will be added to the others and the reels will keep spinning. Once no more new bonus symbols have been added through the respins, your actual bonus spins will be calculated.
- 5 to 7 bonus symbols will award 10 spins,
- 8 to 10 bonus symbols will award 12 spins,
- 11 to 12 bonus symbols will award 15 spins,
- 13 to 15 bonus symbols will award 20 spins.
During the bonus spins round the centre reel will be totally wild and each winning combination will activate the Thunder Streak feature too. This means that the spin potential is increased as during the Thunder Streak feature it is respins and as such won’t deduct from your bonus spins allocation.

Vikings of Fortune, what a game, packed with features and extras to keep even the more experienced slot player interested. Blueprint Gaming certainly made sure there was something for everyone here. From the amazing design, the interesting choice of music and of course those features. Wins happened often in the base game and more so once the features triggered. All the extra respins given during the Thunder Streak and the Thunder Spins is insane, but seriously rewarding. The only downside we have is that the trick in gaining the bonus spins is first to land the 3 or 4 gold symbols. This then triggers the respins in the hope of landing more, to then trigger the bonus spins. This can be time consuming waiting for it to trigger, but when it does it is definitely worth the wait.
