Game Features

Rainbow Riches Drops of Gold is a 5-reel slot with up to 200 pay lines in play and a variable RTP of 94% to 97.75%. Encompassing a design that merges a 5-reel slot and a conveyor belt drop game as one. The slot itself is set just on the outskirts of a forest, with a meadow and mountain backdrop and the conveyor part is conveniently designed to look like a rainbow! Higher value symbols are depicted by the Rainbow Riches Drops of Gold logo, a toadstool, a fiddle, a harp and a horseshoe. With the lower value symbols being represented by the A, K, Q, J and 10 card denominations.

Bet Amounts – Betting begins at 10p per spin and can be increased to £500 per spin in Rainbow Riches Drops of Gold. Adjust your bet by using the plus and minus symbols on each side of the bet amount, until you reach your desired option.

Wild Symbol – Now the conveyor belt will make a wee bit more sense. The wild symbols are the silver and gold pots of gold above the reels.  So how does it work, well the silver pot will substitute for all other symbols except the bonus which is always good. But, the gold pot substitutes for every single symbol in the game, which is even better! They don’t land on the reels the same way as a normal wild does though. So be sure to read on further to find out how it all works.

Scatter Symbol – Your scatter symbol on Rainbow Riches Drops of Gold is the huge pot of gold we all hope is at the end of every rainbow. It also has the word bonus above it just to be sure! Land three or more of these bonus pots of gold anywhere on the reels to trigger the feature game.

Bonus Symbol – A silk banner with the words Drops of Gold on is your bonus symbol. Landing this symbol on reel 5 will trigger the Drops of Gold bonus for you.

Rainbow Riches Drops of Gold Big Bet Option – Barcrest like to change things up where their Big Bet function is concerned, so each game has a slight variance on the last one. With Rainbow Riches Drops of Gold you have three Big Bet options to choose from, if you don’t want to wait around for bonuses to land in the main game. These options can cost more, but you will get a set amount of spins with the extra features enabled as shown below:

  • 1st Big Bet option – costing £20 and awards a double stacked Drops of Gold bonus symbol on reel 5, as well as adding extra pots of gold to the rainbow conveyor above.
  • 2nd Big Bet option – costing £30 awards everything from the first option noted above. But it also removes the K, Q, J and 10 symbols from the reels.
  • 3rd Big Bet option – costing £50 it awards all of the features from option 1 and 2. As well as increasing the win lines to 100 in the base game and to 200 in the bonus spins, if you land a drops of gold symbol on reel 5 when the bonus game triggers.

Drops of Gold Feature – Here is where the game gets really interesting for you. Land a Drops of Gold banner symbol on reel 5 and watch the magic happen. Any silver or gold pots on the rainbow section just below the conveyor will now drop down onto the reels. As the gold and silver pots are both wild symbols, they will help to complete any potential wins on the reels. But, land a silver pot onto the bonus symbol on reel 5 and it will turn into a gold symbol, which can only help you bag bigger wins.

Bonus Spins Feature – Having landed three or more of the scatter symbols anywhere in view, you will have now triggered the bonus spins round. You will be allocated 8 spins to play through if you have landed three symbols on the reels. For every additional scatter symbol in view when the game triggers, you will be awarded 4 more spins on top. During the round the bonus spins can be retriggered and are allocated in the same way as when you initially activated the first set.

Overview

Rainbow Riches Drops of Gold is an interesting twist from the norm where slot games are concerned and there seems to be a lot going on. But once you get the hang of the game itself, it is really easy and enjoyable to play. The bonus spins round triggers fairly often from the main game, but we found it isn’t as easy to retrigger from within. But that’s not really a problem when you factor in the other things going on here too. We love the addition of the conveyor belt dropping a plethora of gold and silver pots from above. All you need to take advantage is that bonus symbol on reel 5 and trust us when it lands you will be smiling!

Now the Big Bet option, whilst it may be tempting to skip the wait and get straight to the extras, be wary. £20, £30 or £50 might not seem a lot, but in our experience you don’t always win back what you have spent to get those extras. It does happen don’t get us wrong and it is nice to have the option once in a while, but don’t spend all your time there. Besides which the main game wins in Rainbow Riches Drops of Gold come thick and fast, and those features trigger often enough to not really warrant having to use the Big Bet at all, if you ask us!
