Game Features
Dragon Fall is a little different to most slots, as it is set out on an 8×8 reel grid rather than the usual 5-reel. It also doesn’t have the normal pay line structure, instead opting for cluster pays. This means that you will need to collect a group of x5 or more symbols to be awarded a pay-out. The RTP for the game is set at 96.43% and there is also the cascade symbol drop feature to consider as well!
This game certainly offers a lot by way of features, but it is also well designed, bright and colourful, making it a huge draw for players. Symbols are various forms of dragons eggs, with the order being from highest to lowest: red plus a dragon is the highest, then it is the gold, purple, green, blue and black is lowest! There is a rather epic music track playing as the reels spin, complete with a tinkling of coins as the reels settle into place.
Bet Amounts – Betting begins at 20p per spin and can be raised up to the maximum of just £10 per spin. Wild Symbol – The wild symbol in Dragon Fall is the dragons eye and it will substitute for all other symbols in the game. It is also what is known as a sticky wild and forms the dragons eye feature, which you can read about below.
Scatter Symbols – Your scatter symbol on Dragon Fall is also the dragons eye symbol, as it doubles up for both in this game. Land at least three dragons eye symbols anywhere in view to trigger the bonus spins feature.
Cascade Symbol Feature – Blueprint Gaming are all about packing their games full of extras and Dragon Fall is no different. It includes the cascade feature which offers players the chance of multiple wins from a single paid spin. How it works is simple, when a win is formed those symbols are removed from the reels. New symbols drop down into the empty space and if new combinations are formed from this, the process repeats. It only ends once no new matches have been made and you have to once again pay to spin the reels.
Colossal Symbol Feature – At any point during the game three gold dragons will fly over the reels and deposit a larger colossal symbol onto them. The colossal symbol will be either a 2×2, 3×3 or 4×4 sized symbol which looks like a dragons egg at first. Once it has been positioned onto the reels it will transform into a cluster of matching symbols and in turn hopefully complete a winning combination and trigger the cascade feature.
Sticky Wild Feature – If you land a dragons eye wild symbol on the reels and it forms part of a winning combination, you will trigger the sticky wild feature. After the winning combination has been moved from the reels the wild symbol will be awarded a x1 multiplier and will move to an adjacent position on the reels at random. If it forms another winning combination the multiplier will increase again by x1 and it will move yet again. This will continue until the wild symbol no longer forms part of a win and it is removed from the reels.
Bonus Spins Feature – To trigger the bonus spins feature you need to land at least three or more dragons eye wild/scatter symbols anywhere in view. Once you do this you will be awarded with x6 bonus spins to play through. The three dragons eye symbols will remain on the reels for the remaining spins, but they will now also have an increasing win multiplier attributed to each one. Each symbol will begin at x1 multiplier and every time one of them is involved in a winning combination the win multiplier will increase. The multiplier increases by one step up to x2, x3, x4 and so on with no limit to the number it can reach. You can of course land further dragons eye symbols which will also remain on the reels and award the multiplier too, but they will not increase your spins total. The bonus spins feature cannot be retriggered from within the round.
Overview
There is an awful lot going on inside Dragon Fall, but once you begin to spin it becomes a lot easier to understand and indeed play. With so many features and twists it was difficult to know where to start, but once we got playing each feature seemed to link into the next making it hugely enjoyable. The majority of the features trigger within the main game, meaning there are plenty of opportunities for landing wins. Getting the three required wild/scatter symbols to trigger the bonus spins is fairly simple and occurs quite often.
